On March 21, 2024, experts of the Regional and Cultural Programme of the EEA Grants together with the Norwegian Embassy in Riga, KS International Projects, Kulturdirektoratet EEA and Norway Grants and representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, which is the programme manager in Latvia, visited Ropaži municipality. 

During the visit, representatives of the municipality presented the sports field built within the framework of "Integration-related events in Muceniekos" in Mucenieki village, visited the Multifunctional Centre "Mucenieki" and the Accommodation Centre for Asylum Seekers "Mucenieki".

In the cultural centre "Ulbrokas Perle", the 1st Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Ainārs Vaičulēns and representatives of the public relations department presented the most important aspects of ropaži municipality's activities, with special emphasis on the business sector. Meanwhile, in the oldest village of Ropaži municipality – Ropaži, in the ruins of the castle, the delegation was greeted by representatives of the association "Rodenpois", with a tour and demonstrations, thus emphasizing the importance of ancient history in the formation of the county.

The visit takes place within the framework of the project "Integration-related activities in Muceniekos" (Nr. LV-LOCALDEV-0007) implemented by ropaži municipality within the framework of the programme "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Cultural Cooperation", which is co-financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway using EEA grants.
